OZCHILD

OzChild required a variety of videos to raise awareness and encourage enquiries into fostering children. Research showed that there were a number of fears associated with fostering a child and these short animations strove to placate these fears and suggest if the viewer was not ready to foster a child, perhaps they knew someone who could.

MONASH MINDS MUMBAI

Monash Minds Mumbai 2015 documents the journey of 11 outstanding Monash students who travel to Mumbai to learn about the local culture and current issues. Filming in numerous locations including schools, orphanages and the streets of Mumbai.

HOOF is a design studio in Fitzroy, Melbourne. This short documentary profiles their work and processes.

The video is designed as a resource for design school students wanting to know more about the communication design industry.

MONASH VISION DIRECT TO BRAIN BIONIC EYE

Monash Vision Group is developing a bionic eye for people who have lost their sight. It involves engineers, neurosurgeons, indistrial designers and industry partners to create a wearable device that converts the image from a small camera and transmits that signal to receptors in the brain.

This video documents the project and their process in a video and is displayed at the Melbourne Now exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria.

ENVISIONING TOMORROW: SOCIAL WORK IN PNG

Envisioning Tomorrow explores current social work practice in Papua New Guinea. It examines the issues facing social workers and social work educators, and considers the successes and challenges for the future.

This project was a collaboration with Monash University Department of Social Work and the Group of 8 universities PNG initiative.

ADVOCACY IN ACTION

Advocacy in Action is an educational video the explores the technique of legal advocacy. The video documents the case study of Daniel Jones vs. the Department of Public Prosections. It is produced for the Australian Advocacy Institute and presented by Professor the Hon. George Hampel QC.

WHAT NEXT?

A series of documentaries that explore the lives of five families in Melbourne, Australia. In each family aging parents recognise that they will soon be unable to take proper care of their child with an intellectual disability. At time of production there was no clear options available to the families to enable planning for the future.

A SPORT FOR ALL AGES

A portrait of the people of Bendigo through the sport of lawn bowls - a sport for all ages. Screened as part of the Commonwealth Games Arts Festival in 2006.

The story of my great-grandfather and his talented son who were travelling picture show men in Tasmania in the 1920s. This was my first ever documentary and has screened in a number of places including the Tasmanian Bicentennial Film Festival.
